How to Estimate a Paint Job Properly?

  1. Start by personally visiting the site you are set to paint before you actually start working on it.
  2. Measure the room, and focus on charging on the basis of that.
  3. Estimate the amount and cost of paint it will take to paint that site.
  4. You are going to require tools, estimate the cost of tools as well.
  5. Estimate the cost of other material such as tapes, masking papers, glue, and preppers.
  6. Estimate the cost of labor. You will definitely not be working alone, especially if it is a big site to paint. Keep in mind different things that can influence the labor cost. Like things in the way, window, nails etc.
  7. The client may ask for something specifically, some kind of modification of some sort. Add that to the list as well.
  8. Do a total addition, and you are good to go.
